Rain? No Problem. Two Days of Track Action at Spa-Francorchamps

Spa-Francorchamps has a reputation for unpredictable weather, and May 13th and June 2nd were no exception. Both days brought mixed conditions with rain on and off throughout, but that didn't stop our customers from having an incredible time behind the wheel — or in the passenger seat.

For these two events, we ran a single car: the blue Porsche GT4 RS "Bandit", prepared by Mathay Racing. Whether it was handling the damp sections of Eau Rouge or finding grip on a slippery Pouhon, the GT4 RS proved once again to be the perfect machine for learning and experiencing Spa at its most demanding.

The day was split between passenger experiences and first-drive sessions. For those new to circuit driving, sitting alongside an experienced driver through the legendary corners of Spa in the wet is a lesson like no other. The feedback is instant: you feel the car's balance, the braking points, the commitment required through Raidillon. For those who took the wheel themselves, the wet track added an extra layer of challenge that sharpened their feel for the car from the very first lap.

Driving in mixed conditions is often where the most learning happens. When the track is dry, instinct can take over. When it's wet, technique matters. And by the end of the day, that's exactly what our customers took away, not just thrills, but a real understanding of what it means to drive at this level.

Of course, a full track day with Bitrock Team isn't only about what happens on circuit. Between sessions, guests enjoyed full hospitality with catering throughout the day and a proper lunch at the F1 restaurant, taking in the unique atmosphere that only Spa can offer. Rain outside, good food and great company inside; not a bad way to spend the day.

While guests were warm and well-fed in the F1 restaurant, Olivier was out there doing what needed to be done, soaked and smiling. The unsung hero of the operation. We owe him a dry day soon.

Two events, two rainy days, and not a single complaint about the weather. That tells you everything about what Spa delivers, whatever the conditions.
